The Provincial Court will hold its second live Twitter Town Hall on April 6th in the lead up to Law Week 2017. Between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm that day, Chief Judge Thomas Crabtree will again answer questions tweeted to #AskChiefJudge.

Last year’s event was a great success, due largely to the support received from you and other supporters. This year the Court hopes to increase the participation of students and people from outside the justice system, in addition to stakeholders.

You can participate by:

  • sharing this news with your network
  • appointing at least one person within your organization to tweet a question to the Chief Judge on or before April 6 using the hashtag #AskChiefJudge
  • asking your contacts to take photos of BC courthouses on or before April 6 and tweet them to #AskChiefJudge, perhaps with a note of what’s going on in Provincial Court at the time of the photo – family, criminal or civil trials; bail hearings, sentencings; settlement or case conferences – whatever they may be involved in or see. We are hoping this will provide a snapshot of the Court’s work in at least some of our 80+ locations around the province.

The #AskChiefJudge event will also provide an opportunity to share your organization’s information and resources with the public – we invite you to join the discussion during the event with information about the services you provide.

Please spread the news to anyone you think might be willing to participate.
