About the President - Jennifer Brun

Jennifer Brun is the President of the CBA BC Branch for the 2020-21 term.

As a Director with Harris & Brun since 2016, Jennifer’s focus is on civil litigation and professional regulation, with an emphasis on claims arising from professional liability, occupiers’ liability, recreational accidents, and motor vehicle accidents. She represents her clients in both litigation and regulatory contexts, before all levels of court in British Columbia and before their respective governing bodies and administrative tribunals. Her experience includes litigating personal injury matters involving mild and complicated traumatic brain injuries, neurological injuries, and chronic pain.

Jennifer has been a CBA member since 2005, serving both provincially and nationally at many levels of governance. From 2010 to 2014, she served on the executive of the National CBA Young Lawyers and served on the CBA Board as the YL-CBA President from 2012-13. She has been part of the CBABC Provincial Council and Executive Committee since 2017. On her path to the CBABC presidency, she was Secretary-Treasurer in 2018-19 and Vice President in 2019-2020.

Jennifer is a persuasive advocate for her clients, having earned a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Laws, and a Master of Laws specializing in civil litigation and dispute resolution. She also completed a judicial law clerkship at the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

In addition to her involvement with the CBA, Jennifer is a regular contributor and presenter for continuing professional development seminars both provincially and nationally, focusing on civil litigation, personal injury, and health law content.
