Protocol for Communication and Testing Related to COVID-19 in Courthouses

In light of concerns raised by the BC Courts, counsel and other courthouse users about the need for timely and coordinated communication about COVID-19 testing and exposures in courthouses, the three levels of Court and Court Services Branch met with senior health officials and have created a Protocol that is now in effect.

Call for Expression of Interest: Judicial Advisory Committee for BC

The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada has invited CBABC to submit names of potential candidates for appointment to the Judicial Advisory Committee for British Columbia, for a two-year term. Those who wish to be considered for this volunteer opportunity must be CBA members and must maintain CBA membership for the duration of the appointment.

The Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch (CBABC) congratulates Vancouver lawyer barbara findlay, QC as the 2020 recipient of the Georges A. Goyer QC Memorial Award for Distinguished Service. CBABC will present the award at its virtual Annual General Meeting on Saturday, February 6.
