CBABC Remembers Paul D.K. Fraser, QC

Members, volunteers and staff at the Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch (CBABC) were deeply saddened to learn that Paul D.K. Fraser, QC passed away on March 29, 2019. Mr. Fraser joined the Canadian Bar Association in 1965 and served as CBABC president in 1976-77 and as CBA National President in 1981-82.

Mr. Fraser, who practised civil and criminal law as a partner at Fraser, Milner, Casgrain LLP, was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1982. Following his exemplary legal career, Mr. Fraser went on to serve three terms as Conflict of Interest Commissioner for the Province of British Columbia.

Kerry L. Simmons, QC, CBABC Executive Director, remembers Mr. Fraser fondly. “Paul’s commitment to public service was inspiring. Long after he served as CBA president, he continued to mentor the subsequent leaders, including me, and brought together members of the legal profession for good causes. He will be missed.”
