Standard Directions for Appeals from Decisions of Masters, Registrars or Special Refereespursuant to Civil Rule 23-6(8) and Family Rule 22-7(8)

Effective July 1, 2019, Rule 23-6 of the Supreme Court Civil Rules and Rule 22-7 of the Supreme Court Family Rules were amended to provide for the conduct of an appeal from an order of a decision of a Master, Registrar or Special Referee.

These amendments replace the process set out in Practice Direction 54 –Standard Directions for Appeals from Decisions of Masters, Registrars or Special Referees pursuant to Civil Rule 23-6(8) and Family Rule 22-7(8). Accordingly, Practice Direction 54 is rescinded.
