Call for Military Judge Selection Committee Candidate

The CBA, pursuant to the Military Judges Selection process guidelines, are entitled to nominate a civilian lawyer to the Military Judges Selection Committee. The term is for five years. The condition of appointment is that individuals nominated cannot themselves be a candidate for a judicial appointment in any court during the term of their membership on the committee, and for a period of one year following the end of the term.

Supreme Court of BC: COVID-19: Criminal Jury Trials Resuming September 8, 2020

The Court will resume criminal jury selections and trials on September 8, 2020. The Court, the BC Sheriff Services, and the Minister of Attorney General’s Court Services Branch, working together, have developed a plan for managing the particular challenges posed by jury selections and trials that reflects public health guidelines and the requirements of the law.
