Call for Volunteers: Provincial Council Vacancy - Victoria County Rep

  • August 30, 2022

Canadian Bar Association BC Branch is seeking a CBA member to represent Victoria County on Provincial Council. Provincial Council provides a forum for CBABC leaders to learn about and discuss issues facing the profession, bring regional and professional issues to the attention of the Board of Directors, and elect the Board of Directors.

As this vacancy arose before the person elected could take office, the Board of Directors will appoint a representative at their September 16 meeting, for a term ending August 31, 2023.

The appointed representative will attend the three Provincial Council meetings for the 2022/2023 year on October 1, 2022 (in Richmond), February 4, 2023 (virtual) and June 10, 2023 (in Richmond). Reimbursement for travel and accommodation is provided.

Those seeking additional information on the duties and expectations of the role are invited to contact Executive Director, Kerry Simmons, at ksimmons@cbabc.org or 250-480-9145.

CBABC members who wish to be considered for this volunteer opportunity can submit a letter of interest and resume to the attention of Kerry L. Simmons, QC, Executive Director, CBABC via email: ea@cbabc.org. Deadline 5 pm, September 14, 2022.
