Awards & Recognition

CBABC members are now welcome to nominate a fellow member for one of the following four prestigious CBABC Awards.

The Community Service Award recognizes the valuable contributions to BC communities by a CBABC member. The Community Service Award is sponsored biennially in each county by the CBABC.

The Equality and Diversity Award celebrates a CBABC member who advances equality in BC generally, or within the legal profession.

The Harry Rankin, QC Pro Bono Award honours the immense contribution of Harry Rankin, QC in support of access to justice for the poor. The award recognizes outstanding pro bono work.

The Innovative Workplace Award recognizes a law firm or legal organization that demonstrates leadership in promoting workplace innovation within the practice of law.

Nomination deadline is Friday, April 27, 2018. CBABC Awards will be presented in June 2018

Equality and Diversity Award

Celebrates the accomplishments of a CBABC member who has succeeded in advancing equality in the legal profession or generally in British Columbia.

Innovative Workplace Award

Recognizes lawyers, law firms or organizations who demonstrate leadership in promoting workplace innovation within the practice of law.

Law Student Awards

In recognition of the law students who best exemplify CBABC ideals at the University of British Columbia, the University of Victoria and Thompson Rivers University.

President's Medal

Awarded by the CBABC president, this medal recognizes a significant contribution to the profession during the President's term.
