Response to CBABC’s Submission to Ministry of Attorney General: court user surveys

  • November 29, 2022

The Ministry of Attorney General has responded to CBABC’s submission of October 12, 2022, which recommended the development and use of court user surveys to increase public engagement and improve access to justice.

The Ministry has expressed a similar interest to CBABC in modernizing the court system and increasing access to justice through user centred design principles and methodologies. Delivery of their new services incorporates surveys, registry intercepts, stakeholder opportunity workshops, in-situ observation, and detailed usability testing.

CBABC welcomes the opportunity to continue to engage with the Ministry and further advocate for modernizing the courts, as set out in our Agenda for Justice, and incorporating court users’ perspectives.
