Access Pro Bono is hosting its 10th annual legal advice-a-thon event this September. We invite you to serve as one of our volunteer lawyers providing free legal advice to one or two pre-screened clients in an outdoor setting. Our clients are low- and modest-income individuals who otherwise lack access to critical legal advice.
If you don't live or work in one of the four host cities, please consider volunteering from your office for our first-ever Pro Bono Going Public Telephone Clinic on Tuesday, September 19.
As a volunteer lawyer, you will be fully insured, able to pick your shift, and matched to a pre-screened client within your chosen practice area. This is your golden opportunity to fulfill a professional responsibility to promote equal access to justice for all. Your conscience will thank you!
In addition to increasing access to justice for our clients, we hope you will solicit community support for our pro bono programs. APB’s operations depend on Pro Bono Going Public as its main fundraising event. We encourage you to raise awareness and funds with your friends, family, co-workers and members of the public. We will publicize the efforts of our top fundraising lawyers and reward them with excellent donated prizes.
