The Kootenay Bar Association invites you to come out and celebrate the signing of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms on Saturday, May 5 from 11am - 2pm.
This year, Law Day coincides with the unwrapping of the newly renovated Rossland Courthouse!
There is something for everyone with mock trials and art contests for the kids. The local heritage commission will conduct tours of the courthouse explaining its history in the community. The Kootenay Bar will also conduct mock bail hearings (with a few laughs along the way). Sheriffs will be on hand to open up the cells to the public and retired judges will also be in attendance to answer questions.
Where: Rossland Courthouse, 2288 Columbia Avenue, Rossland, BC
When: May 5th, 2018 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Why: Cause the courthouse is so cool, and the charter is wicked awesome!
