We are consistently recognized by Canadian Lawyer magazine as one of Western Canada’s Top 10 regional law firms. Our 95+ lawyers advise across 26 practice areas, serving local, national, and international clients. We proudly manage a large firm practice, while maintaining the close relationships and culture of a smaller firm.
We are currently seeking an outstanding litigator to join our highly regarded Health, Local Government, and Insurance Practices. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and will have a minimum of three to five years of litigation experience. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in the defence of healthcare clients, local governments, and/or general insurance matters.
This position involves working on a variety of litigation matters, assisting senior counsel on large files, and working independently on smaller files. The successful candidate will be a team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, who is eager to manage their own case load, report directly to clients, and conduct discoveries, mediations, and trials. The firm offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with other members of our large litigation practice and to directly assist our clients in our health, local government, and insurance practices.
AHBL offers strong support to our Associates, providing a collegial and dynamic work environment. We also value diversity and inclusion at our firm. We are committed to providing equal opportunities in employment and maintaining a workplace free from discrimination and harassment. This means that all job applicants, employees, and partners will receive equal treatment regardless of age, culture, ethnicity, gender, nationality, physical ability, race, religious belief, and sexual orientation.
