Throughout the year, CBABC proudly honours excellence in BC’s legal profession. Our annual awards celebrate individual and industry excellence along with outstanding achievements and contributions to our association and the legal profession in British Columbia.

Georges A. Goyer, QC Memorial Award for Distinguished Service

Recognizes the exceptional contributions and/or achievements by any resident of British Columbia to the legal profession.

Community Supporter Award

Honours CBA members anywhere in BC who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, service and commitment to supporting their community.

Equality & Diversity Award

Celebrates the accomplishments of a CBABC member who has succeeded in advancing equality in the legal profession or generally in British Columbia.

Innovation Award

Recognizes lawyers, law firms or organizations who demonstrate leadership in promoting workplace innovation within the practice of law.

Harry Rankin, QC Pro Bono Award

Recognizes outstanding contributions by a member of CBABC in the area of pro bono work.

President's Medal

Awarded by the CBABC president, this medal recognizes a significant contribution to the profession during the President's term.

Women Lawyers Forum Rising Star Award

Celebrates a woman lawyer for her professional success and contributions to the BC legal community over less than ten years of practice.

Women Lawyers Forum Award of Excellence
