Meeting Title/Topic: Indigenous Peoples Safe Space - Sharing and Support Circle
Synopsis:We invited Indigenous lawyers and students triggered or otherwise effected by the recent news of the uncovering of unmarked graves at the Indian Residential School on the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation reserve lands. And now just today the news of 751 unmarked graves found by the Cowessess First Nation on the grounds of the Marieval Indian Residential School in Saskatchewan.
We are working together to host a “Sharing and Support Circle” for Indigenous people that need support to have a safe place to share what they are feeling, their experience, and offer support to each other.

Our annual auction is in support of the CBABC’s Aboriginal Lawyers Forum, affectionately known as “the ALF”. The ALF’s mandate is to support Indigenous law students, graduates and practitioners in order to enhance the stature and influence of Indigenous people in the legal profession. The ALF remains particularly committed to supporting Indigenous students - our future Legal Warriors - through financial awards and subsidizing their attendance at the ALF's signature events.
