September 1st is the start of a new membership year and you will be auto-enrolled in all of your Sections from last year. But now is the time to review and confirm your Section enrollment so you can maximize your member experience!

BC has more than 70 Sections, including the new BC Northwest Section. Your membership includes any of the 41 National Sections.

Why enroll in Sections?
Enrollment is the only way to receive direct communications about meetings, networking events, legislative changes and other news relevant to the Sections of your choice.

Don't miss your first meeting of the Fall!
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Section meetings and events have continued in an online format using Zoom. Our Sections Calendar lists upcoming meetings and events such as the Appellate Advocacy meeting on Sep 28 with Chief Justice Robert Bauman and Registrar Timothy Outerbridge from the Court of Appeal of British Columbia.

To ensure you receive notifications on news relevant to your preferred Sections, you need to enroll in those Sections. BC members do not need to be enrolled in the host Section(s) to register for a meeting and to access the online resources. However to receive notification of upcoming Section meetings/events, members must be enrolled in those Sections. Non-enrolled members can access the Sections Calendar to view all upcoming Section meetings.1

1Note: All members are required to register online prior to the meeting and/or event date to be able to attend in-person or remotely. Additional fees may apply upon registration such as meal costs.

If you're adding a new Section to your enrollment, your existing enrollments will already be selected in the form. For convenience, a Section will be pre-selected for a member who is sitting on the executive of a Section.

Enrollment for 2020/21 is currently open. There is no official deadline to enroll, however we do recommend members do so before mid-September as many Sections will begin hosting their first meetings of the year in early fall.  We will continue to accept Section enrollments throughout the year.
