The 11th annual Battle of the Bar Bands (Friday, April 1) is a no-holds barred musical battle between members of Victoria’s legal community, decided by real judges of the Supreme and Provincial courts. The event is a fundraiser for the CBA Lawyer’s Benevolent Society, which provides emergency assistance to lawyers who have suffered an illness or injury.
This year’s event will feature new bands eager to challenge event legends “Blind Elmo”, and two-time winners the “Hung Jury”.
The Battle of Bar Bands will take place at a fabulous new location at the Pacific Fleet Club just a short drive from downtown and overlooking beautiful Esquimalt Harbour. Doors open at 6:30pm and the music commences at 7:30pm.
In addition, this year’s event will also feature:
• The famous Battle of the Bar Bands artist “mini battle” – This year’s artist is none other than the legend himself, David Bowie!
• A food truck
• Dancing until 12:30am
• Dial-a-driver service
• Door prizes and a 50/50 draw
