Sandra F. Guarascio, partner with Roper Greyell LLP

Sandra F. Guarascio is a partner with Roper Greyell LLP where she practices all aspects of workplace law. Sandra has extensive experience conducting, and providing advice on, workplace investigations.  Her work has included complex and sensitive investigations involving anonymous complaints, elected officials, board governance issues, multiple parties, multiple bargaining units, multi-employer work settings, as well as issues of sexualized violence which require trauma-informed practices.

Sandra discussed a range of issues relating to the types of privilege that apply in unionized and non-unionized workplace investigations, including related reports produced by counsel. She spoke about waivers of and exceptions to privilege and what this means for the investigation, as well as when an investigation report can be used in a hearing. In the complex and ever-changing landscape of workplace investigations, this was a very timely and informative session.

Duration of meeting was 1.5 hours. Of this, 1.5 hours can be counted towards CPD.
