PRESENTATION

The Workplace Investigations Section hosted an engaging and informative discussion led by Mr. Habicon respecting how cognitive or unconscious bias — the implicit attitudes or stereotypes that shape how we engage others, form opinions and make decisions — can impact and undermine a workplace investigation. Most Importantly Mr. Habacon provided workplace investigators with tools and strategies for disrupting or reducing cognitive bias in order that a fair and effective workplace investigation remains the focus. 

Duration of meeting was 1.5 hours. Of this, 1.5 hours can be counted towards CPD.
