2008 Fall Launch and Award of Excellence Luncheon
The CBABC Women Lawyers Forum held a Fall Launch and Award of Excellence Luncheon on October 29, 2008 in celebration of its sixth year of successfully promoting the stature and influence of women in the legal profession. The first Award of Excellence was presented to Maria Morellato, QC in recognition of her many distinguished career achievements and outstanding contributions to women in the legal profession as a change agent, leader and mentor.
"The first annual Women Lawyers Forum was a great success with 210 people attending the Awards lunch at the Sutton Place Hotel. Six outstanding women lawyers were nominated Rosanne Kyle, Maria Morellato, QC, Alison Murray, Margaret Ostrowski, QC, Susan Paish, QC and Marina Pratchett, QC and the award went to Maria Morellato, QC at Blakes. All six nominees were profiled as each is a wonderful role model for other women lawyers.
