On March 26, 2010, the 2010 Pro Bono Appreciation Breakfast was held at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel in Vancouver. The event was hosted by the Salvation Army Pro Bono Program, the Western Canada Society to Access Justice and Pro Bono Law of BC. The Honourable Chief Justice Robert Bauman of the Supreme Court of British Columbia gave a heartfelt speech on the importance of pro bono law in the profession. The Honourable Chief Justice Lance Finch, The Honourable Chief Justice Robert Bauman, The Honourable Mr Justice Ian Donald and more than 120 members of the legal profession were in attendance.
Thomas Frank Braidwood was presented with the 2009 Access Justice Dugald Christie Award. The 2009 Pro Bono Law of BC Lawyer of the Year Award was presented to Brent Olthuis. The 2009 Salvation Army Pro Bono Program Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Morgan Camley.
