The CBABC Women Lawyers Forum held a Fall Launch and Award of Excellence Luncheon on October 29, 2008 in celebration of its sixth year of successfully promoting the stature and influence of women in the legal profession.

The Canadian Bar Association BC Branch and the Vancouver Bar Association were pleased to once again join forces to host the annual CBABC/VBA Golf Tournament on June 19, 2008 at the University Golf Club in Vancouver.

The Law Day 2008 theme was Access to Justice. Law Day events provide the public with the opportunity to learn about the law, the legal profession and some of the legal institutions that form the cornerstones of our Canadian democracy.

The Mentoring Program of the CBABC Women Lawyers Forum with the financial support of the Law Foundation of British Columbia is pleased to provide the following video taped Art of Communications Workshop as part of our ongoing support to women lawyers throughout British Columbia.

On February 13, 2008, CBABC WLF hosted a sell-out crowd of more than 300 people at the Four Seasons Hotel for the second Signature Event Luncheon which featured an inspiring and thoughtful speech by Maureen McTeer.

On Friday, January 27, 2006 the CBABC WLF hosted its first Signature Event, with The Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, PC, Chief Justice of Canada as the keynote speaker.
