One of the cornerstone events held in British Columbia during Law Week is the annual Barry Sullivan Law Cup public speaking contest. The competition is sponsored by the Canadian Bar Association British Columbia Branch and is open to students enrolled in grades 11-12 in British Columbia.

On March 26, 2010, the 2010 Pro Bono Appreciation Breakfast was held at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel in Vancouver. The event was hosted by the Salvation Army Pro Bono Program, the Western Canada Society to Access Justice and Pro Bono Law of BC.
